Recycled content is measured by weight of the yarn, not of the finished sock. Sewing thread, elastic and finishing are outside that measurement. We state the basis so the number can be checked rather than believed.
Where this material came from
The recycled share is wool, pulled from collected knitwear, sorted by colour family and re-spun. Because the fibre is not re-dyed, every batch is a blend of many fibre colours. Shade varies between batches by up to 5%. Wool also has a shrinkage risk that the care instructions on each product page address.
What we do not state
