Recycled content is measured by weight of the yarn, not of the finished sock. Sewing thread, elastic and finishing are outside that measurement. We state the basis so the number can be checked rather than believed.

Where this material came from

The recovered feedstock category this yarn is drawn from, in a specimen tray.

The recycled share is cotton, pulled from cutting-room and spinning waste and mechanically opened back into fibre. Mechanical recycling shortens the staple length. Sock yarn made this way is less even and less abrasion resistant than yarn made from virgin cotton of the same count. The higher the recycled share, the more pronounced this is.

What we do not state

  • No sea area, port, collection point or supplier site — we cannot show evidence for any of those.
  • No third-party certification, because none is held for this product.
  • No comparison against any other sock, ours or anyone else's.

What to expect from this sock

  • The slub effect comes from deliberately uneven yarn. The nubs are part of the construction, not a flaw.
  • This is one of the highest recycled cotton shares on the range. The shorter staple is noticeable: the surface feels coarser and the foot will thin sooner than on a lower-share sock. Buy it knowing that.
  • This product ships in a sealed sleeve. Once the seal is opened it cannot be returned.
  • No third-party certification is held for this product. The recycled share stated here is the share declared to us by the yarn supplier for the yarn used in this sock.
